I explained that our car wash is a PDQ Pro-Touch Tandem and that the pads or “brushes” (for a lack of a better word) are made of neoprene and cannot hold debris (rocks, dirt, mud, etc.). I told her that I see the scratches, but that our car wash could not scratch a vehicle in a manner that is consistent with these scratches. She then points to the scratches and said her children noticed these scratches right away when they got home. I said I do not see a piece of broken plastic on your vehicle. I said to her that I am not calling her a liar and that I wanted to have her come back so I could see the scratches and broken plastic piece on her vehicle. She was very upset and asked why I even told her to come back if I was going to call her a liar. She could not show me any piece of plastic that broke off her vehicle. She pointed to a small scratch near the wheel well on the driver’s side, a smaller scratch near the driver’s side mirror, another small scratch on the driver’s side rear door, and a few more small scratches at the rear of the vehicle and by the bumper. When she arrived I went out to her car with her to see the damage she described on the phone. There was nothing that appeared out of the ordinary. I reviewed the video of her vehicle being washed and it washed the vehicle as it was designed to. (We had washed up to 53 cars by that time and continued to wash cars without incident after her car wash.) I also told her that I would be pulling the car wash bay camera footage up to see if something was wrong with that particular wash. I then asked if she was still nearby and if she could swing back so that I could look at her vehicle. The vehicle I witnessed being washed happened to be the car immediately after her vehicle was washed. I did not see anything out of the ordinary and that I was in the car wash bay when it was washing a vehicle. I remembered that I was in the car wash bay at that time sweeping out the corners and told her I had not noticed any plastic pieces in the car wash. She went through the car wash at approximately 12:45 pm. She explained that she had bought the vehicle two months ago and that it was a newer vehicle (Blue Subaru). She said that our car wash broke a piece of plastic off the rear of the vehicle and that our car wash had scratched and damaged her vehicle. I received a phone call around 1:30pm from a customer saying that our Crystal Clean Car Wash had damaged her vehicle. Here is how I remember her complaint regarding her experience with our car wash. As the store manager I was the individual who handled the customer complaint that occurred on 3/20/21. We appreciate any and all customer feedback, questions, and concerns regarding any of our products and services provided at Witt’s Piggly Wiggly – Oconto Falls, Pig Stop Fuel Center & Crystal Clean Car Wash.
